Aerial photography is a new perspective on landscape photography, they are less literal more abstract views of our world. They supply a different view on our common landscapes sometimes contributing to duality of an image, the uncertainty of what you are seeing. While I do have a drone, I use my drone for video footage not my photography seen here. All these images are taken from light aircraft or helicopters. For my photography I’ve felt the need to have that direct connection with what I’m shooting, and while I am desperately afraid of heights the only way I can achieve my desire is to get up there and hang out of the aircraft(slight exaggeration!) for the perfect shot. Here you will find a selection from my travels around the world from Australia, Iceland and Ireland.
